the mona lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is somewhat important to many members of art society ( i dont know why they fuss over it so muc)!. but its most important because of its historical context!. da vinci, for one carried it everywhere untill he died!. also the misteriosness of this portrait is so appealing to the audience who is this woman and what inportance does she have in DaVinci's life!?

!.!. also (dont know if you actually do care lol) it was the first portrait containing a landscape on the background!.!.!.

i get what you mean by asking why is it so inportant !.!. i dont really see it myself !.!. xD but anyways i hope this helped a bit

it is important because it is the first painting with the natural background!. also, when you look at the painting it seems as if the road goes on and on!. also, Da Vinci used this technique called sfumato-does it not look like there is something between the actual portrait when you look like at it!. also, it is one of the first half-length portraits!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
