Architects design buildings such as offices, government buildings, restaurants, malls, etc!.
Roads and cities are designed by civil engineers and city planners!. There's a big difference between the two!.

Residential design can be done by an Architect, Engineer, or a qualified/educated designer with a diploma in the field of residential design (either a College diploma or a University degree)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
