Question: Why when saving digital photo file is saved file smaller!?
Have Microsoft Picture It premium and MGI Photo Suite 4 programs!. I frequently save a photo file as a different name before I do any digital inhancing!. Why is the renamed, saved file always about 75% samller then the origional file!? For example my orgional file downloaded from my camera is 2000kb but the file I rename and save is only 500kb!. How can I rename, inhance and then save a photo file keeping it at the same 2000kb size!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

When saving picture into JPEG, normal program often do a quality reduction!. This reduction can hardly be spot using your normal screen, even though some pixel-peeping people can see it!. The difference can also be seen when print out though!. So check the program if it has reduction option automatically on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
