Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you already work as a photographer, I would stay away from what you already know!. Get the course outlines for the BA, and see if it is a repeat of what you've done!. You need something that is stimulating!. I wouldn't go into an MA program unless you have a background in documentary photography already!. If you have a good solid knowledge of documentary photography and want to be challenged academically, an MA program would be good!. If at all possible, meet with the people who will be your profs and advisers--especially in the post grad program!. A poor relationship with an adviser can ruin a program that reads well in the school literature!. For example, a school will advertise that they have so and so as a prof and then you find out that prof is on sabbatical when you will be there!. If you are a mature person, your time is even more important!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Personally i would go with the MA, because the idea of a Master's degree commands a bit more respect, however it does depend what sort of thing you want to do, the MA would be great if you wanted to do Documentary Photography!.
