To draw your own work you need to learn body proportion meaning where everything is located and how it's all drawn and placed!. To do that you need to learn the body's skeletal figure and draw muscles over them and then the skin and then clothes (if you want to)!. You sort of have to go by layers!. There is no easy way out of this!. All you have to do is practice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You could start taking your own photographs and draw from those!. You could also set up some still lives in your home and create a composition from that!. You could do some of the Exercises from "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain"!. You could use a wooden figure-poser that you can purchase from the art store and play around with creating your own figures!. You could do some free-flow abstract drawings!. You could find a live-model class in your town (although you are young so you would need to be mature in that setting with a live nude model)!. You could go outside and sketch: put your arms out and your let your fingers make an open square and that will help you compose an image on your paper!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The most important part of drawing unique work is by understanding the foundational components of drawing!. Perspective, Anatomy, Proportions, Balance, Weight, Gesture!.
To get better at these you need to read up on the principles of each of them and practice applying them!.
Get a sketchbook and do alot of quick sketches!. Keep these things in mind while sketching!. spend 1-5 minuets for a figure drawing or up to 20-30 minuets for a whole scene!. These drawings should be done with references from life, not from a book or photo!.
Doing studies from life forces you to work out the perspective, figure out where the lines need to be drawn!. build the figure instead of just imitating the lines!.
The more you sketch the more confident your made up work will be!.
