Question: What other professions do people buy a tool for and think thats all they need to build a career!?

Most art, IT, music (you should hear some of them), modelling, people buy make up and a dress and expect photographers to clamour and pay fortunes for shoots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

painter!.!.!.i know people who think they can paint a hospital or housing development just because the have a few brushes and an airless and a ladder or two!.!.!.they wind up asking me the difference between epoxy and polyurethane and alkyd and acrylic and what do i charge per foot!.!.!.like i'm going to give them a straight answer or something!.
then there are the "muralists" who don't know compostition from compost and can't draw and don't know what an opaque projector is, and ask me what kind of paint i use for murals and where to get it!. and how much do i charge again like i'm going to give them a real answer
then there are the faux finishers!.!.!. they usually go back to whatever rock they crawled out from under about half way through the first job and the customer calls me and wants a discount because someone has already screwed up!.!.!.that doesn't happen either, i charge 50% more per the entire job to fix a screw up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
