Well, I found a place where I could take photography classes, and I might take it (because I AM serious about photography!) But after I've taken the classes, THEN what!? My sister and I might move to New York City soon!. Will there be more opportunities there!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: After you have learned to control all the aspects of your camera, can produce nearly perfect, marketable imaged on a consistent basis, then you will need to spend about two to five years working as an assistant to a successful pro!. NYC is perhaps one of the best markets to do this, but you will have a lot of completion, so having a "knock your socks off" portfolio is imperative!. While in school, you can start compiling the best of your best and build your "book"!. To see what your future employer may be looking for in the way of skills, look on this site!. In such a large place as New York City, you will undoubtedly face fierce competition in the job market!. How long is the course!? If you can produce a good portfolio at the end of it and write a great marketing and business plan or have a plan to attack whoever your market will be then you might make it big!. If you want to get PAID a weekly paycheque doing it, you'll need to go to college and get a diploma!. Unfortunately there are absolutely no colleges in New York City which offer such courses!. If you wanna get into photography as a career, research companies that have similar styles to your own and then try to get a job at those places!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Take the classes!. you might get ideas from the teacher or other people in the class as to what to do afterwards!.
