Yes, I talk myself through it if I'm doing something that really needs close observation!. As in, This corner is right next to the shoulder, which goes around like thi-i-i-s!.!.!. and I talk to the materials!. Like, "OK, brush time! How about you!?" Works really well! But talking about other stuff just distracts me and makes the work go nowhere!. It probably depends on a) your personality and b) what you talk about!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I talk to myself like no other when i draw !!!
Depending on what I am drawing, I may be talking, singing,or possibly just making weird sounds !!! LOL
I know its weird, but when I draw, especially something I really enjoy drawing, it just helps me to let go and express myself better !! It is fun and I always get better results !!
Sometimes people are around, you know, one of my kids or someone like that and they think I am really strange, but I am !!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i also do the same ,but remember it must be related to what u drawing or u can actually talk on the process u r apply !. its like running commentary of what ur doing!. its proved very good for me to concentration on the subject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

no, i stick my tongue out of the corner of my mouth though!. its all about the concentration!. when my dad cuts paper his jaws move up and down in rhythm with the scissors!. it probably helps your performance!. would you feel as free and into your drawing if you had tape over your mouth!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

haha no!.!.
