So, lately (within the past week or so) I've been dissatisfied with my photography [[ if you can call it that =) ]]!. I'm in the mood to photograph; however, I can't seem to end up actually liking the photos I'm taking!. I'm also getting bored because I'm shooting the same subjects over and over again!.!.!.
Please, does anyone have any advice to get me out of this rut!? Look for the formal elements, not just the raw subject matter!. While you are doing that, go to the library and randomly walk down isles you don't usually go down!. Without looking at the titles of the books, grab one or two, take them to a table, and flip them open randomly!. Now you may have to look through several books to find an inspiration, but you will find something!. Something new, something weird, something ugly, something beautiful!. Don't just look for images, but consider ideas, as well!. Dried up, old images may suddenly become new material when new ideas are the inspiration!. Have fun with this!Www@QuestionHome@Com There's a whole bunch of people who take pictures of railroad trains as they pass by!. Some pictures are unique in some way, or "spectacular" in some way, but the majority of them are just pictures of locomotives and freight cars, whether they be stopped along the track somewhere or just passing by!. I think you'll find there is an organization of such railroad fanatics doing this at some websites and you can share pics!. You can look theirs up just to see what I'm talking about!. Just Google it, and you'll find it easy enough!. Go anywhere and take pictures of what you want!. You might see a wreckage from a tree falling, a wierd object in the sky; it could be that you home is flooded, that your going to a party!. It could be a school trip and you a teacher, a mountain scene, a day out somewhere, a view through a telescope at the moon, a air show or something vile and disgusting you saw washed up on a beach dead!.
