I dont personally like yellow and orange, but if you really want to do that and you want a beach thing then getting some really nice palm tree stencils to paint on would look nice!. But I think it's probably a bad idea to go for something so "out there" because in a couple of years you wont like it!. I painted my room bright pink and purple when I was 11 and each day I liked it less and less, now at the age of 13 I hate it!!! (Luckily I moved house a year after painting it!!!(But my dad still lives there so I have to stay in it sometimes!!! NO!!!))Www@QuestionHome@Com

Vanessa,
A sunset on the beach sounds great!. Use a can of white wall paint and buy tubes of pigment to add to the white paint a little at a time!. (If you need more help with this you can email me through my profile here at Yahoo! Answers!.) The great thing about using wall paint is that you can cover it up with a coat or two or primer and more paint when you want something new!.

Draw out the scene you want on a sketch pad a few times before you start on the wall!. That's so you will know what you want, and don't want in the finished mural!.

Look on line for images you like!. Do searches for sunsets, trees, beaches, and other elements you want in the mural!. Draw right from the monitor when you find one you like!.

http://www!.visartonline!.com has lots of sunsets, but this is just to get you started!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wouldn't do a mural unless you are really really into that theme!. I think that a sunset theme would lock you into a beach type theme for the entire room!. I think that doing solid colors, or maybe dividing the walls into an upper and lower portion would be best!. Then you can accessorize with anything that matches, and if you want to change it later you can!.

I think flowers would be pretty too!. Easy to match with lots of things, but not too boring!. I have these giant sticker flower things in my room, they look like they are growing right out of my floor!. I think thats pretty neat, not something you see everyday!.

I guess I'm just not too big on the whole sunset idea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Put card board over windows, remove breakables (ie, lamps, wall fixtures), masking tape around doors, borders, etc!. mark out where you want the mural and cover it with plastic canvas!.
borrow a friends paintball gun, get yellow and orange paint balls from walmart,

and have fun!.

you get a neat splatter look, its fast, its fun, but make sure you lower the guns setting so you don't hurt the walls!. it works better if the wall is white or a light color!.

for the mural, you can have streaks of color going criss-cross horizontally, like they're flying, something abstract!. that'll be the horizon for your beach sunset, then fill in the water and sand dunes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That sounds really nice!. On ebay, look up wall murals!. There's tons of full size wall murals, like sunsets, etc!., that would match the yellow and orange theme!. I would probably paint the walls and the ceiling yellow and use orange for the baseboards and window frame etc!., but that's just me- I love bright colours like that!. Good luck with the decorating!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should paint your roof, windowsills etc white, one wall yellow, one wall a turquisey green colour and one with a mural!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd use a roller and brush to paint a room!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
