I like it when the artist can draw in all the basic elements and really create a "complete" work!. This is especially great when all the elements are there but one dominates!.

My problem with modern/abstract art is that so much of it seems to be focused simply on one element!. Things seem to be simply a study of color, or line, or texture rather than being a coherent piece of art!. I find that the true beauty of art lies in the interplay of all these things and more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like a fairly realistic style!. And I like it when the subject of the art is slightly perverted reality!. Not perverted as in obscene, but where things aren't what they should be and there is a slightly (or very) eerie feeling!.
Some of my favorite artists that would fall more or less under than description: Walton Ford, Will Cotton, Odd Nerdrum, Michael Sowa, and Gottfried Helnwein!.

But I like a lot of art that doesn't fall under that description, too!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
