Question: What is the best exhibition you have ever been to!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Good evening,

As I am a parisian, my answer will concern Paris, only!. Not because I didn't see other exhibitions in others countries, but because of the fact that I give to me the permission to be as french as I am!. (some private joke!.)

I 've been lucky enough to visit some kinds of magnificient exhibitions!. Two were specifically admirable because of their design and the way they, both, highlighted works!.

The first concerned photographs about Italian post-wars (both) period, presented at "La Maison Européenne de la photographie"!.

Specifically, the thematics were based on the beginning of the post-mussolinian era and on the population freedom feelings' graduation!.
The way one of the protographs (I unfortunatly don't remember his name) was revealing the complexity, through a quite non classical perspective, of the conflits between two generations and the way young people were rebelling while they were submissed to the lucidity that they were included in an historical reponsability, was strong!.
I remember one picture, I focused myself on one picture representating a very old man, very Italian!. This man was alone, in the first plan!. The second plan showed two young men on a motorbike looked like af if they were escaping from this age!.
The first plan was lightly blurred, the second one very lost and sharp at the same time!. Very lyrical and modern!.

The second exhibition concerned Man Ray at the "Pinacothèque"!.

What I've been really appreciating still more than the diversity of the works and - this was a very personal interest - was the expression of a time - when surrealism was developing itself!.

Cordially!.
Have a very good week!.

To "Myself" : I remember some years ago I had to work about the exhibition " sensation" in New York!. So I knew Damien Hirst!. Not himself but his work!. I am not prude, but sometimes, this is quite reactionary!. Tell me why you were so in love with !? Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
