Our art world is a complex mix of variety and cultures!. Sometimes it seems that an artist is caught in the middle of what is to be expected from the artist at all times!. Yes, drawing the nude figure is part of history possibly going back to the Roman or Greek empires!. When artists worked on statues and paintings that era was really big!.

Building columns were huge, the buildings were big and had a lot of good characteristics with them!. The Greeks or Romans had the slaves fight in arenas against other slaves and animals!. It was a time to show strength and power!. The artist used this depicting the human figure in the nude!. capturing the muscle structure of the human body!.

Our times changed and some of the remembrance of the past kept going to the present!. Yes, we still have people posing in the nude for an artist to paint or draw from!. Yet do we need to expose our bodies to strangers and maybe feel uncomfortable in front of a person or many people!. Yes posing nude isn't pornography!.

The model is paid at a professional level, and the students or artist who draws the structure of the body from the model again captures the human bodies strengths in the artwork!. Do we need this form of art today!? I don't think so, we have survived the past on how our the Romans or the Greeks learned about the strengths from the human body!. Do we need to have that particular form of art no, would I be a nude model, no at a price!? No!

We have other types of art that depict the human anatomy, such as the use of medicine and surgery!. There are many possibilities that an artist must draw a nude model, but just to paint the body or draw the body for display I think we are beyond this era for an artist!.
