Question: How these photos be better!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Simple, stop using your camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In the first one, the ground elements are too dark and the sky is too light!. The horizon is smack dab in the middle of the frame, the composition is blah!. The car mirror and power lines look like accidents and not part of the planned result!.

The building is marginally better, the B&W conversion lacks punch, and other than the architectural elements within the structure itself, there is nothing much interesting there!. also the top corner is cropped!. You might play with cropping closer to an interesting detail!. Most of the windows have completely blown highlights, so maybe try a closer view of the window on the right, perhaps with part of the column included!.

I always suggest getting a book on beginning photography and taking a class if possible!. "Understanding Exposure", by Bryan Peterson would be a great choice for you to begin to see how light shapes the look of an image!. Start learning the technical and artistic sides to the craft and keep practicing!. Best wishes!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the first one would be great with out the power lines and the mirror, they are distracting and take away from the beauty of what you photographed!.
the second one would be more interesting with different composition, example, stand very close to the building and shoot straight upWww@QuestionHome@Com

I may not be an expert but these are my suggestions:

For pic #1: I think it would be better without the car mirror or the power lines!. It could also look great in color, especially with a nature scene like that!. Other than that, it looks great!.

For pic #2: That is an awesome picture as it is!. I just wonder what it would look like in an angle!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. try to use more value!. its just really light and then quickly changes contrast to dark!. maybe change it to color!?

2!. like the other poster, change angle and maybe put a subject in it, it'll make it more interesting!. pics aren't fun to look at when they are taken from the front and straight on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They're not very interesting!.

Shoot some more!.
