http://a361!.ac-images!.myspacecdn!.com/ima!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ok open photoshop click file> open find the picture you want to edit click the magnetic lasso tool from your toolbox then zoom in and start going around the person until the person is selected when the person is selected right-click inside the selected area and pick "new layer via cut" then a new layer will show up with just your person then select the background layer and erase everything (not the layer with the person) then you can do whatever you want!! (you do not use a green screen when doing this btw!.!.!.!.green screen and blue screens are for video!.!.not for photo!) though it is good to have a solid-ish background (it makes the magnetic lasso tool work a little better because it's not having to sample so many different choices!)Www@QuestionHome@Com Using a green screen just makes selection easier, any object can be cut out from any background using the pen tool it's just a whole lot more laborious!. In Photoshop once you have the selection just use the shortcut Ctrl + J to paste it to a new transparent layer!. Before you import the new background layer you can modify your selection by using the mask on the new transparent layer and using a black brush will reveal the pixels from the background underneath or white to hide them, you can paint in/out individual pixels by this method or a whole area just by altering the brush size!. When you're ready just import a new background!. ChrisWww@QuestionHome@Com Like the first responder says, you need to take a picture against a plain solid-color background!. It doesn't have to be green, but it works best if the background color is completely different than the model's colors!. Once you do that, it's easy to separate the background from the model in Photoshop or Gimp or other image manipulation program!. Best way to learn is to look every Tutorial in you Tube about Layers!. Type Tutorial Photo shop and look for examples that might interest you!.
