Question: How do i reduced the noise in my photos!?
I have a canon powershot s5 IS!.!. and all pictures I take in manual mode have some extra noise going on!.!. yet when I take them in auto mode there as much noise!. I've taken outside photos where the sun was booming!.!. and still!.!. alot of noise!. Anyone give me some pointers!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Booming" sun photos should not have noise!. Seeing as how it happens on manual and not on program, it may be that you are choosing a high ISO or underexposing or both!. Try it again, outside in bright sunlight at mid day, with the ISO as low as possible (100 ISO or below) Use the sunny 16 rule!. Aperture at f/16, shutter speed at 1/100 (at ISO 100) There should not be any noise to speak of!. If there is, I might then think the camera has a problem rather than the operator!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A high ISO or underexposure are usually to blaim for noise!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Noise Ninja or Neat Image are softwares that can help with noise!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm sure some will disagree but!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. IMO buy a Nikon they have much less noise than Canon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
