It's a catch 22 when they want you to have experience but don't give you a chance!. You might try freelancing; I've used probono (freebies,LOL) to build a portfolio!. Then you have something to show a prospective employer!. Be sure you're competent in the industry standards, Photoshop,Corelle, etc!.

You might also check out GURU where you bid on jobs that are in your range of experience and comfort!.
Good luck!. I hope this was helpful to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

rule #1, portfolio talks more than experience!.
rule #2, employers job ads don't list absolute requirements, they're more like "this is what's we'd *like*"!. But frankly even they know they won't get exactly that kind of person!. Prove you can do the job even without the experience, as long as you can score an interview!.

One tip, get a job that's not art-related at a place where they use lots of artists!. then you can figure out how to get one of those jobs from within the company!. For example, be a janitor or be an assistant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can show your portfolio and let that speak for you!. If they like your portfolio, it might not matter!.

also if you have any projects you did for people, include that as part of your experience!.

If you went to a good design school, that might be a way to get in, or at least submit your portfolio!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
