Yes, if you can find one!. Try at keh!.com and bhphotovideo!.com and adorama!.com and huntsphotoandvideo!.com and beachcamera!.com!.

When Minolta changed their lens mount with the Maxxum AF series in 1985, they offered a 2X teleconverter/adapter for the older MC/MD lenses to the AF mount!. Sony, of course, uses that AF mount!. There are other adapters which are not teleconverters!. There is one listed at bhphotovideo!.com!.

Once you have the adapter you'll need to find an MC ROKKOR-X 58mm f1!.2 lens and have a very fast portrait lens for your A100!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on the Minolta lens, if it's a Pentax M42 (a virtually universal size in the 60's & 70's) there is an adapter!. If it's slightly later it may have an 'adaptec' adapter on it (adaptec was an attempt to standardise bayonet lens mounts) the may be one for the Sony!.

In answer to TallPaul a lot of these old lenses were superb and their quality is just shines through on digital, I routinely use old Takumar and Pentax A series on my digital SLR, just for the quality they offer!.

That depends on the mount!. Really old!? Like a 42 mm screw mount!? Pentax K mount!? If your determined to use the lens, your best off going to a well stocked camera shop!. They may be able to help determine the mount you have and find a sequence of adapters that will work!.

However this may get costly!. It will also greatly extend the length of the lens' barrel (therefore the focal length)!. The desired results may be very hard to come by!.

For the best quality pictures, your best option is to buy a new lens that will fit your camera!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

as longest they are socket a, sony bought minolta!. and they kept using the socket A!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, and why would you want to ruin a decent dSLR with old lenses that don't fit!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
