Number 2 first:

* Put your camera on a sturdy tripod and aim the camera where you will be standing/sitting!.
* Pre-focus on the exact spot you will be when the cameras shutter goes off!.
* Do few test shots using your cameras self-timer, so you can refine the composition of the final image
* Use a light source that is on the side of your full body !.!.!. right or left and then switch to see which you like the best (you can buy an inexpensive "construction" light at one of the home DIY stores like Home Depot for under $40 with a stand)!.
* Take vertical shots (called portrait format sometimes) so you use the whole cameras sensor and don't have to crop later!.

Be sure you have the white balance set to incandescent when shooting with these lamps!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This camera has a host of helpful settings for most situations so the user can get the most from it without too much effort from it's user!. If you want the picture to get you in the shot completely Tip to Toe, then put the camera on a tripod in VERTICAL position as far away as possible {in the room}, set the self timer, press the button and get into position as quickly as possible, do this several times till you get the DISTANCE right!. Hope this has helped!. All the best!. Have FUN!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1) For the "best" picture (that's subjective, btw), it should technically be in focus and properly exposed!. That can be subject to interpretation, though!. It all depends on what YOU thing is "best"!. I prefer nature scenes over people!. To each his own!.!.!.

2) As far as a full-body shot goes!.!.!.if you're taking self-portraits, a tripod is a must!. Use portrait aspect, and mid-way through the zoom range to avoid any distortion (pincushion or barrel)!. Take a test shot of something that's about your height to determine the range you need to shoot at to get the entire image in the frame!. Set up, set the self-timer, and fire away!. Go with shaded natural lighting for a softer look; artificial lighting can make your pics look "warm" (yellowish) depending on the bulbs used!. Bright lights = harsh shadows, which can work if you're going for a contrasty look!.

Play around, experiment, and have fun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
