Colors for my painting, what goes with...?

Question: Colors for my painting, what goes with!.!.!.!?

Im painting a picture of a face with depth, and it includes the colors, black and gold but i want to add some other colors to make it "pop" i don't only want "Neutral" colors (black, white, grey, ect!.) What other colors do you suggest!? The face is more like a statue face with no human details!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

have you done an underpainting!?

mayhaps you could consider making the black/gold the underpainting (the shimmer of the gold would be INCREDIBLE if you paint over it thinly enough) and do a blue/purple face!? like!.!.!.bright purple, with lots of red in it!? personally!.!.!.that would rock my socks right off!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
