it all depends on who is taking the photo!. A pro will know which poses are flattering or slimming!. The lens choice makes a difference in distortion, the viewpoint makes a difference,
the lighting makes a difference!. All these things can make anyone look better or worse depending on how you use them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They don't!. They look as how the photographer took the picture!. I've seen plenty of images where people looked way better in a photo than they did in person!.

It's all about the photographers knowledge on how to take a proper picture!. More often than not, you have seen pictures of people that were taken by someone running and gunning with their cameras, just snapping away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

probably because camera adds 10 pounds and also lighting what you see with your eyes is much easier (better for your skin) that some bad camera lights (for example the on-board flash on a regular camera is QUITE unflattering)Www@QuestionHome@Com
