Uhm!.!. I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you have a scanner, download the picture/note and I will gladly edit it in for you, and make it look as real as possible!.

~ it may not be gimp to best edit text, the scanner may have ocr software, where you scan text, and edit in word program, check that first,
~ also it may be easier to write out new note on paper,
~ to use gimp as editor for re doing words, would require you to have same hand written text to replace with, simply scan image with gimp/ file/ acquire / scanner , preview and scan image, erase old text, type in new text, or paste from other text over top in new layers,
