Question: Is this in perspective!?
Im getting really annoyed trying to figure out if this is in perspective, the thing that is confusing me is if it should be the same width as it goes further away!. Any advice would be great, and if you have a good knowledge on perspective would be better
thx!.

your vertical y axis markers (the up and down lines) seem to be decreasing at odd and uneven intervals!. There's a proper way to draw things in perspective to make sure they're technically correct!. To make sure your guidelines are where they should be, draw with a ruler an X within your rectangle (2 lines, each going to opposite corners: top left to bottom right, top right to bottom left!.) The center of the X is the center of your rectangle in perspective!. Draw a line down from that center point!. Now erase the lines that make up the X and leave that center line!. What you should have is a rectangle in perspective that's split into two sections!. Inside each section, repeat the X to find the center of each section!. Keep doing this with all the new sections you create until you have as many vertical guidelines as you need!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!.!.!.I think!.!.!. :) And yes, it shouldn't be the same width!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is in perspective, if you're having problems with your design it's because your lines are all straight, and it won't look round unless you curve the lines!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi, As your using a grid as long as you have the measurements correct it will be fine - i think its just because your lines are 'hairy', once you have just one solid line it should look ok!.
If your drawing from life - a useful tool is if you tahe a cd case( just the clear side) and draw a horizontal and vertical line in the middle seperating the case into 4 equal sections, you can use this as a guide for placement -always hold it out at full arms lengh to ensure accuracy!.
also a little tip - everyone has one good eye and one bad eye for 'looking' - to find out which is yours hold a finger out at arms lengh in the middle of your view - open and shut your eyes seperatly and whatever one where the finger remains in the middle is your good eye - always use this eye to look at what your drawing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it is in perspective
it should not be the same width as it goes further away because the parallel lines get closer together as they get further away
equal lengths no longer look equal, but appear to get shorter as they recede from usWww@QuestionHome@Com
