Pop artists mined sources such as magazine and newspaper images, advertising, and celebrity culture as reference points in their work!.

What makes them a pop artist!? Pop art is just the style of art, the bright colours cartoony type style!. Roy Lichtenstein did his artwork during that era and to fit that style making it pop art!.
