Question: What is the origin of ink!?!?

i can't find hardly anything helpful on the internet!. what is the origin of ink and how do they make it now!?!? or what are websites that will help me!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's really not surprising that you can't find definite articles about the origin of ink!. While the Wikipedia article states that ink dates back about 5000 years, soot, which has traditionally been one of the components of some inks, has been found in the pigments of many cave paintings, suggesting that ink dates back possibly as far as the end of the last ice age!.
