Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Associates or Bachelors (better) degree in graphic design will equip you with all the knowledge you need to become an illustrator!. You have to have fundamental drawing classes, perspective, and more - also, not only hand drawn illustration, but you will learn computer generated illustrating on programs such as adobe illustrator and photo-shop!.
Go to a good art school - and you will learn from other talented students and meet teachers who are professional illustrators as well!. Really cool field btw!. :)

Kodak, MTV, even ABC illustrator courses are open after
a 38 year hiatus!. There are management training teams
in the area of documentary work, the illustrations are live
update, data, and red cross assessment type!. Though there
are more tame jobs with the world member zoological teams
recently!. Illustrators are on campus in two types!. Live work
such as these I mention!. Another is church investors with
architect, farm, land studies for new farm or living sites!.
Hope you find a good college counselor while you study for
a good look at on campus scholarships!. Thing here is to
keep coherent with your class curiculum and investors!.

Hi,

Most graphic design courses cover illustration as well!. Try enrolling for a diploma, degree in Graphic Design and make sure that illustration is a large part of their coursework!. If you aren't into the design side of things then a Fine Arts qualification should do you as well!.

Illustration for any particular job has no specific recipe!. Every illustrator I know, including myself, has a different approach to working on a project!. You also have to follow the clients requirements!. Most require pre-sketches to see if the illustration you planned will fit into the page or magazine spread you are working on!.

Approach an agency like Bright Agency with a portfolio of your work and get feedback!. Network as much as possible with people you meet along the way!.

Most illustrators are freelance and work for themselves!. This means that you'll also have to learn to do tax and small business management!. Unless the agencies have a system!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
