Take a look at the following cameras!.
Canon Rebel XTi, XSi
Nikon D40 or D60

These will come in under $1,000!.00!. With the XTi or D40 you will have enough left over to buy another lens!.

They are equal in quality so go to a camera store and play around with them!. The one that feels best to you is the one to get!.

What are you using the camera for!? For $1,000!.00 you are getting an entry level DSLR not a professional model!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Does it need to be digital!?

I have a Maxxum 7000i, its a 1980's relic but it takes pictures perfectly!. Its not digital either and will come in WELL under $1000!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

always buy a Canon!. look from there!. do NOT buy a Kodak!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have recently purchased a Canon Rebel and it takes Amazing photos !.!.!. well "I" take amazing pics WITH it lol!.
The 'big and bulky' aspect is frustrating at times so I hold on to my little digital Olympus !.!.!. but for size and quality !.!.!. I 'Rebel" lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

Try the Canon EOS 450D, I don't know how much it is in dollars because I live in the UK, but I absolutely LOVE it!! It's great because it's got live view, latest technology and stuff!.
It really is the best, I got it yesterday and I will bring it EVERYWHERE with me!.
Get it!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Canon Rebel XTiWww@QuestionHome@Com

Check ratings on www!.amazon!.com for digital SLR's!.

I use a Nikon D80 for my digital imaging class and it works great! It's one of the best cameras around!Www@QuestionHome@Com

OK, do you even know how to use an SLR!?

Great quality shots are accomplished by someone who understands the basics of photography and can apply them, knows how to use lighting, has the ability to setup or recognize a good composition, and knows how to use the gear!.

There is a reason professional photographers exist!.

Once you know how to take great pictures, you'll know what camera to get!.

Best thing to do would be to leave the pciture taking in the hands opf a professional, or buy an advanced point and shoot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
