Question: Is this a good painting to represent the song "Eleanor Rigby"!?
I have a project at school where I have to take a song and find a painting that represents it!.
I chose the song Eleanor Rigby: (lyrics) http://www!.lyricsfreak!.com/b/beatles/ele!.!.!.

and the piece of art that I chose to go with it is Nighthawks: http://www!.ibiblio!.org/wm/paint/auth/hop!.!.!.

The painting give me a lonely feeling!. Everybody in the Diner is alone at the middle of the night!. And the Eleanor Rigby is about people being lonely!.

Do you think this was a good choice!? Do you have any other suggestions!? Should I pick a different painting!? A different song!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I was picturing more of Picasso's blue period when I heard the song!. It is a very depressing song, and those are depressing paintings!. I would go with this one:

I think if the song is about a woman then the painting with a woman would be a better choice!.The painting the second guy sent in would be my choice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The song Eleanor Rigby was about a woman who was always alone!.!.!. I never envisioned her sitting in a bar with other people, but on a park bench alone in the rain!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

my vision of eleanor rigby, however, would be that homeless woman i used to see walking up 6th street to the 24 hr!. grocery store on winter nites, so she could sit inside out of the cold, she dragged her wheelie suitcase with her, and she was bent into the wind, looked so lonely and cold and hopeless (and crazy, she would have nothing to do with the shelters and facilities that tried to help her)Www@QuestionHome@Com
