Question: Infrared film is illegal!?

I heard that infrared film is illegal to purchase here in the U!.S due to a homeland security issue!. Is this true, and why!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've never had a problem purchasing it at my local camera shop!. The only problem as far as security would be your IR film being destroyed by airport X-ray machines, but no its not illegal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not that I'm aware of!. It isn't common but a good photographic supply place should carry it!. You won't find it in Walgreen's or K-Mart but a high end photo shop should have it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt it!. I don't use IR film, but I do use an IR filter which my boyfriend purchased for me in the US!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
