What about a long snout, trunk or neck so that it can stick it through the ice and catch fish? Give it retractable shovel shaped claws to dig holes through the snow and the ability to roll up in a ball when it hibernates. Researching the type of prey it would most likely eat would help in developing adaptations. A hypersensitive smell would help it to unearth burrowing animals and a loud bellow and fangs to ward of polar bears and larger competing predators. Alternatively why don't you make the animal one that hunts in packs? Give it the ability to mimick a young animals cry, and have it jump out of the snow (it would have to be really well camoflagued and partially burrowed in) and gobble up the mummy of whatever animal it eats (after paralysing it with its poisonous tounge of course). Hope thats enough to go on.

You have a creative block eh? That used to happen to me all the time when I was in HS and college. Now almost 40 I have more ideas than time to flesh them out. You have not given us one clue about what your project is: drawing, painting, photography? Anyhow, here are two ideas to get you going that can work with every kind of media, commercial or fine art.

Study a lot of examples of famous artists. Go to museum websites and go to artchive.com. At least one artist's works will catch your eye. Look and look until you find artists you like.

Next, take some cheap paper and copy a few of those artist's works. Make about a dozen quick (2-5 minute) very rough sketches. Next, make a dozen more sketches of images that are just SIMILAR to that artist's style. Pick the best sketch and build it up to the final piece.

If you have more time, make more of those similar sketches and keep on changing the style.
