Position:Home>Visual Arts> Art project, shoe sculpture help?

Question:Okay, so for this weeks school art project we had to make a sculpture with some shoes. I chose a hightop converse all star, and a glittery pink highheel, the point of mine is to be the opposite of eachother, so it kinda fits to a few different things....whether its:
girl/boy
fancy girl/not fancy girl
rich girl/grungy, not so rich boy
preppy girl/ not preppy girl
or you know things like that.
i already have the high heel part done, i have things like a champagne glass and makeup and perfume bottle and necklaces, and things, but im having a hard time thinking of ideas for the other side.
So far, on the converse side, i have the converse, a piece of gum that has "gotten stuck to the shoe"...
underneith as the ground is just rocks, and i have a bottle cap and some matches and a pair of ray charles type sunglasses. Any other objects you can think of??? please help :)

if you just walk along for a half a mile almost any road you will find enough grungy stuff to make 10 sculptures...
text book, exercise book, glitter...
though I actually think your pieces will be much stronger without extra stuff around them. Rather spend some time really thinking about the most effective arrangements and you could also play with numbers and right versus left shoes.

you might also want to look at shoe sculpture by Willie Cole to get some more ideas what you can do with shoes.
