Position:Home>Visual Arts> I made someone a picture and they posted on a website.. Help? 10 POINTS!?

Question:Someone asked me to make them this picture for them. I ended up doing it and she posted it on this website. I downloaded the brushes for her that took like 10 minutes and then I made 2 pictures.
That took about 30 minutes.
I have asked her many times to just say '(My Name) Made this'

She says no.
I keep on asking her because it isn't fair to me.

What should I do?
Should I ask a moderator of the website to help?

If there's a moderator, definitely bring it up. If there was an agreement for her to post that you made it, and she is breaking that agreement, then it should be brought to a moderator's attention. Best of luck, I hope you get the credit you deserve!

Yes and if she still doesnt give you credit
you can file a lawsuit against her for plagerisim.
It is against the law,and if she stilldoesnt care,
take her to court and get something out of it.
Afterall you used up your personal time to do it.
Thats why when i make things for people like pictures,
i put my name and website on it so they have to have
it on there, and i put my credit on there so they
cant delete it.
Good luck.

If by "made them a picture" you mean you created a new work of art (either a painting or a photograph), you own the copyright.

Email the webmaster and ask her to remove the image. Mention "copyright infringement" and you'll get prompt action.

However...if you only edited a photograph taken by someone else, you're in a grey area.

Unless the image you created is "substantially a new work of art", the person who took the photo owns it and you're out of luck.

Hope this helps.
