I am not good at art and anything would help, I just do not want you to answer my questions for me. Give me tips on how I would answer the questions and such maybe a sight to help me more with art, or write a small answer for the qustions to give me something to work with

All paintings of this nature have a light source. The light source is generally opposite of where you see the shadows. Its how the light and shadows are placed that draw the eye and make for an appealing picture, or not.

In both examples, the light source is coming from the left, as the right sides are darker with shadow, as it would be with a subject standing in sunlight, with the shadow behind them as is in life.

I hope this is somewhat helpful.

I read the other answer first and it is good. I just wanted to add that the light helps to bring a sense of realism to the picture, it brings it to life, and adds depth so the picture is not flat. In the first pic the light is used to bring attention to the baby in the mother's arms and then again on the face of an angel.

For the first pic...
the light is at shining in a way that makes the audience or whoever is looking at the pic focus on the subject i.e the peolpe. and the light is coming from above.
Not sure if that wud be a long enough answer but it might give you ideas, hopefully!
