Absolutely not.

For children its not good, It might damage the pupils..

I hate to dispute the wannabe Optometrist and Ophthalmologist that answered before but they aren't giving a great answer.

It depends on how responsible they are. A responsible 10 year old would be fine with contact lenses.

Responsibility means they wouldn't wear their contacts for too long, they wouldn't sleep with them in and they'd clean them all the time.

If they aren't willing to do that, then stick with glasses.
