Interior Designers!!! I would like some information of this career?

Question:I LOVE desgin, and I am very creative!! I am either going to school to be a teacher or an interior designer.....which do you think would be better? How much does a entry level interior desginer make? and how long does it take to go through school?

Interior designers make anywhere from the mid $20K to the mid $40K depending upon the area of the country if you're working for a design firm. The money comes in when you can finally establish your own business.

Courses and a degree can be a huge benefit, but you still have to have an eye for design and color. I, personally, don't have a degree in it, but I was fortunate to have a design firm take me "under their wing" and teach me. I would suggest, if you are still in high school, seeing if you could intern somewhere in the summers (even if it's for no pay).
