Question:I have school photos on friday. The picture I take is going on my certificate of recognition for leaving 8th grade. So it's kind of important.

I want to take a really good photo. What are some good tips? Like how to smile (I never show my teeth because I have little teeth and it makes my smile look bad.At least my fake one.) and how to position ur head.etc?

Tips on Clothing:
-Choose solid colors or simple patterns that complement the portrait’s background
-Medium to dark shades create a timeless look
-Soft shades enhance lighter backgrounds
-Avoid shirts with slogans as photo cropping can cut words in half
-Long-sleeved shirts are best since short sleeves can be distracting and sleeveless tops can look too casual
-Select small accessories that do not detract, such as simple earrings, pins and necklaces

Tips on Grooming:
-Schedule a haircut two weeks before Portrait Day
-Bring hair and makeup supplies for quick touch ups
-Limit exposure to the sun a few days before Portrait Day
-Make sure nails are trimmed and clean as hands may show in portrait

Final Checklist:
-Check your hair and shirt collar at camera time
-Refresh makeup for a flawless portrait
-Practice your smile in front of a mirror
-Remember good posture
-Wear your best colors
-Relax and smile at the camera as if it’s your best friend
-Be yourself and have fun

Go to bed early so you won't look tired, drink water to look moisturized, shower prior to picture day, position your head so that it won't look tilted, practice a good pose, HAVE FUN!!

I addition to what Mulan stated, do not wear shinny or sparkle make up and cut back on lip gloss. Tell the photographer you are sensitive about your teeth (don't just say, "I don't smile.") Do not press your lips together hard.
