Question:What Genre would his artwork best be defined in?
Is their any artists which he inspired, or who work in the same medium and way as he did.
The work of his which I am looking at is:

A lot of Tony Cragg's sculpture around this time was quite political (but then who wasn't given the fascist regime who were in power at the time) as well as being environmental. Works such as 'Britain Seen from the North' and another, the name of which I forget, based on an image of mounted police charging striking miners were very much of the time, and directed at the puppeteers (and the wicked witch) in London. As for artists he inspired, you'll just have to do a bit of your own research (not going to do it all for you) but you're obviously looking in the right direction (there are tons of them). A contemporary whose work you might also appreciate is David Mach. Needless to say, I think Tony Cragg's work from this period was brilliant.
