Are Zoom lenses, essentially, Phallic?

Anything which is longer than it is wide...
Especially cylindrical objects.

Sure, they can look phallic if you think that way, but they were made for a specific purpose. To take photos from a distance. I doubt many people who are mature, and are photographers, think of a telephoto lens as 'phallic'.

What's Phallic? Is that an imported? Leica I have heard, but not Phallic. Is it German?

p.s. I have Canon 100-400 mm f 4.5-5.6 L IS and it's pretty long.

However, the 16-35 mm f 2.8 L is stubby & short. It shoots wide though. Ha.

I have discovered in life that there are several things a man mistakes for a part of his anatomy. His car, gun, camera lens,garden hose and remote. (I'm sure there are more and it varies per male, but this I am sure of)
