Position:Home>Visual Arts> How much could a 24x30 Thomas Kinkade-Evening Majesty canvas painting go for on

Question:The market for anything by Thomas Kinkade is extremely oversaturated. He publishes huge editions of each of his images, publishes editions in various sizes, and if that weren't enough, he sells the same images in everything from nightlights to puzzles to needlepoint kits. The available supply of his work is not matched by demand. So unless you have something from a sold-out edition, you're probably not going to get any more than you paid for it, and might not get anything. I've seen extremely low prices for his stuff on Ebay.

This place claims to specialize in buying and selling hard-to-find Kinkade things. Contact them and see how much they will offer you for your canvas piece. That might give you an idea of its real value.

Why don't you look on e-bay and find out?

If it is an original, it could bring a good sum. The best way to figure it out is to go to ebay and look at similar items. Ask what you want out of it. That way if it doesn't sell, you're only out a listing fee. I've sold things on Ebay that I thought were going to go for a lot, so I set a low starting bid. Then when they sold for that low starting bid, I had to ship it. Bad idea!

um nothing
