Position:Home>Visual Arts> How do I get my 72 dpi image up to 300 dpi?

Question:A couple of vector images I made in photoshop are going to be printed on clothing. Their dimensions are 523x907 and 820x806.
Both at 72 dpi. How on Earth am I going to get them up to 300 dpi without having to redo my whole image?

In Photoshop from the menus choose

Image>Image size

From the the pop-up box that appears change the value of 72 dpi to 300 dpi.

From the drop-down box at the bottom choose Bicubic Smoother (Best for Enlargement)

Save the new file.

There are some tradeoffs to upsizing in terms of loss of image quality, but hopefully not noticeably so if you are going to be printing on clothing.

basically what the above said. Since it's vector though, there shouldn't be loss of image and it should be okay to res up. I wouldn't recommend doing it with a bitmapped image though.
