Thank you!

Yep that looks like you. lol
I like it.

It looks great! But, can we have a picture of you to compare with? For all we know thats not even you. :P

thats amazingg!!!!

It could be greatly improved by making your darks much darker. The shadows created by the eyelids also need to be much darker. That would prevent the bug eye look and make your eyes look natural. There is much more to making a portrait than just getting the shape right. Hope this helps you.
You will find your image will look more 3 dimensional.

If you want the subject to pop out try to make the background darker and create some darker tones. Right now the image seems to be monotone. There needs to be a higher definition of dark and light.

It's decent, you need to work more on the eyes, and add a bit more shading. Also, more detail in the hair would help-and shading.

it looks great... Now !!! Can we see the real you for comparison. Maybe you are a male for all we know.

I wasn't planning to come back to YA, but since you asked a question, I am answering it.

Well, it has a very interesting texture(timbre! lol!), though I still feel like your being too careful. It's like composing for the upper register of an instrument only because you feel like it is more discernible.

What you have to do is to make a photocopy of this self portrait and then start experimenting on the new copy using VERY dark touches. Get violent. You can experiment on the eyes, as somebody else suggested. And see what happens. Do NOT be careful with the copy. LOL. it's just a copy.

But make sure whatever you do, it's in your own style and it is applied to the ENTIRE thing. It's important to have a consistent texture.

Thanks for sharing your art with us. You're quite talented.

EDIT: One more thing: if you want dimension, make new touches in a rounded motion. You know what I mean? If you want to make a sphere look like a sphere, you don't colour it flat. You colour it in circles. It seems like you've already done that but you can reinforce it.

thats good!!! you definatley got talent, just work on your eyes cause they were probably the worst part, and lopsided and all. but apart from that it was great!

well, we would need a picture of you to compare the work to in order to make a sound call of how your self-portrait compares to you in reality. I like your technique, but you'll definitely need to learn to use the planes of your face to enhance the amount of depth you have in your work. Try not to use lines, really, to draw your hair, it'll be better if you use shading and reductive work to imply your hair using an array of lights and darks to bring out your hair, your face, and to keep you from becoming delineated in the background. Overall, it's still a good composition.
