How do you do this with a picture?

many ways of doing it.
honestly, simplest and easiest way:

upload your photo, and then choose with your mouse which sections you want to be colored.
Presto!

google "selective color in photoshop"

Wow, this is really poorly done. Anyways, run a search for "selective color" on google, or even on yahoo answers (this question is quite literally asked at least 15 times EACH day). There are so many techniques, and they all vary depending on the software you have, so I can't simply recommend one offhand.

You have to have a special art program. I use Paint Shop Pro X you can also use Adobe Photoshop. If I remember correctly, you can get free trials on their websites. Otherwise if you want to buy the programs they are usually just ovet $100.00. If you just want to do the one picture then I would go with the free trials. Hope this helped!

The best way is to desaturate the photo then use the art history brush(in photoshop) to paint back what you want colored.
u can do it in channels and a couple other ways but this is the easy way.
