Position:Home>Visual Arts> How do I find an Illustrator?

Question:I'm trying to put together a 10 page online comic and I'm not satisfied with my character illustrations. I'm posted adds in craigs list and some local colleges, but no one is replying to me. I could probably guess why... because there isn't any money involved. It's strictly and art project for personal use. I'm wondering if there are any steps i'm missing in seeking talent. If I do pay someone what is a good amount for someone to do line drawings?

offering some money... even if not a lot... is going to get more reaction than trying to get someone to work for free. you're expecting a lot from strangers. repost your ad and mention the price as negotiable and see if that helps. then you can let them know what your budget is.

Get word out among the people you know, someone may have a family member who draws and can help you out.
