I don't know what the effects of mixing caffeine with acrylics or oils would be as I don't even know where one can obtain pure caffeine, but as a tiny and perhaps not-that-relevant footnote I can mention that I've painted using gouache diluted with Coca-Cola.

Yes. Check the label though, I used decaffeine and my painting is drab, dull, and makes me sleepy!
