Question:...have you ever had a caricature drawn of yourself ?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: ...have you ever had a caricature drawn of yourself ?

A caricature can appear in literature as well as in drawings. It is over exaggerated features in drawings; in literature it is a character who is seen in an overview with super powers or expanded capabilities, but there is no depth to the character -- emotionless.

New writers frequently fall into the trap of making their protagonist and antagonist the epitome of goodness or evil. For every character there must be a reason for the behavior, or they turn out as flat as a one dimensional drawing.

I think it is very cool that some of the artists draw caricatures and wish I could. I always try to make the eyes normal, even with extended appendages.

I've had caricatures drawn of myself, but I'm always disappointed because they don't capture me. So, when I edit, I watch to make sure the characters have reasons for the behavior, quirks and flaws, etc.

goofy and exaggerated.

no i have not

no, but it is a drawing similar to a cartoon in which prominent/distinguishing features may be over-exaggerated for comedic effect

a caricature is just a portrait that has exaggerated features
i draw them all the time of my friends :)

i have had one drawn of myself, i think at a theme park a couple years back. I would describe it as a drawing that exaggerates your characteristics and especially your flaws. I think they are really cool and funny.

they are so clever ,the people who draw them.my avatar looks a bit Caricature

A caricature is either a portrait that exaggerates or distorts the essence of a person or thing to create an easily identifiable visual likeness.

And yes i have.

a caricature is defined as:

"a drawing, description, or performance that exaggerates somebody's or something's characteristics for humorous or satirical effect"

it basically emphasizes a recognizable feature of the person being drawn, who otherwise would look nothing like them. For example, George Bush with his big ears.

I haven't had one drawn of me, but if I did, they'd probably emphasize my prominent nose.
crazy stuff

A portrait with exaggerated features of a particular person. Can be insulting or complimentary.

I haven't had one drawn of me but I had to draw one last year in my senior English class.

Caricatures are simple cartoon like drawings that capture the essence of a person. Some are comical and some are flattering., To attempt a caricature, it is good to study the person from as many viewpoints as possible. Determine the most recognizable features and focus on the features. Often the most recognizable features are exaggerated to produce a cartoon-like portrait of the person. If others look at the drawing and recognize the character the caricature is good.

The only caricature of myself is one I drew.. I often use my caricature as a logo.

A very cartoony, exaggerated and animated portrait, no i've never had one but i will get one done

Sketch with a big head. Never had one drawn.
