So do you have any ideas for how to edit them?
i.e - black & white, brightness.
You can mix and match anything.
I just wanted some feedback thankyou (:

1st pic is great. second one just needs to be darkened. if you want to be artistic, dont overdo it. the first one might look good in black and white. your very pretty btw.

please upload some other photos, these are not good at all

honestly i would say black and white for both and the second one is no good bc its too bright on the guitar and you and not bright enough on the plants.. so your screwed there. the first would look good in b and w because the lighting is wierd

try downloading this siftware:
Macromedia Fireworks MX

it's pretty cool....
you could edit your picture in so many ways........
it depends on your style....
well, this software has the editing tools you'll need...

hope i did help...
=p

if you are using photoshop
play with Image>Adjustments>Levels for light levels
play with Image>Adjustments> color balance

What type of software are you using to edit the photos? if you don't have any program yet i would suggest Picasa from google( http://picasa.google.com/features/index.... ). It's easy to use and has an "I'm feeling lucky" which will automatically adjust the color the contrast and the brightness. Plus it will let you try different visual effects (b&w, Sepia, Inverted colors, blur, Sharpen, etc).
As for the photos themselves,
the first photo seems a little too dark and the 2nd is a little too light. you might want to start by adjusting the brightness and contrast levels.
Personally i'm a big fan of black and white so maybe use a black and white filter

first of all...
correct the general look before you make them artsy.
Like..
the one is overexposed. If you use photoshop (or PSP), you can try using 'curves' to correct this. Also use levels to adjust your levels of light/dark.

In the areas that are badly overexposed, you do this:
make a separate layer and color this with flowers and bright colorful designs....
set the layer blending option to something that makes the color show up in the bright areas of your photo...
Use a mask to block out areas that you don't want the added rainbow of colors (like your face maybe)

Or you can mess with the hue-saturation..
make your guitar look like a drawing and color in areas with solid color.

try duplicating the layer, adding blur to second layer, and then switching the layer to blending-lighten to make a soft glowy look

many things you could do. but find something to do about the over exposure for sure.

good luck.

The guy who took the pic should not quit his day job. I like Photo Studio by Arcsoft one quick auto enhance would make it lighter. You should crop it, use the focus adj.,fame it and send it to me for evaluation.

I have a program that came with my scanner/printer called HP Image Zone. It does black and white and color correction but its really easy to use, not as fancy as some of the other projects mentioned. I did these three picture changes in less than 2 minutes. Try seeing if you can download it even if you don't have the printer.
