What is the best photo software to buy for photos?

Question:Photoshop (CS3) is the best but it's about 800 bucks.

If you're not doing complicated stuff, try Photoshop Elements (about $100).

Gimp is a free Photoshop-like program which gets good reviews.

Before you buy anything, look up Picasa and Photoshop Express. They're free, easy to use, and they may be all you need.

That would be Photoshop
but that's an expensive software
I would advise using a freeware or something for amateur photography

yup definately photoshop...its wicked, or if you cant afford that psp is good and a bit less to buy.
