An acrylic craft paint which is water based would be safe. I have used it on myself to create a work of art. There were no reactions from my skin. It will come off with a good water washing.

you cant paint a horse that is cruelty to animals!!!

Talk to a theatrical costume shop for safe "makeup". what you can use on your skin will be safe for the horse...just leave breathing room on the skin.

you shouldn't use paint in the real sense it is body paint available form make up vendors and fancy dress houses
