best answer gets 10 points

Basically after the trial period if you want to continue to use the product you need to buy it. Most will allow you to buy it online.
If you open the software after the trial period it will have a button that will say buy now. If you don't want to buy it you can't access the software.

you get to try something for a period of time at which afterward you must either pay for it or you are no longer allowed to use what ever you had a free trial for.

Free = Without charge.

Trial = The act or process of testing, trying, or putting to the proof.

p.s. At least I am getting 2 points.

Addendum: After the "trial" is over (usually it will tell you when you start the program, for example, "you are on day 2 of 30" and so on), you will have the oppotunity to "buy" the license, which means you have to cough up with the money, or you have to uninstall the program, which will no longer work. Some people try to reinstall the program, hope that it will run again for 30 days--there isnt' really a way to circumvent this other than formatting the hard drive and reinstall Windows (and this program)--really not worth it.

a free trial is a sample of the real product. It only lasts for a limited time. It shows you want the product is about and then makes you choose to buy it or go somewhere else

For a program you download, the program will stop working after 30 days, and notify you that it's time to buy it to unlock it. Once you pay for it, they'll send you a code that unlocks it.

You get to try something for free, a product or service provided by a company for a specific period of time.
