How to become a graphic designer?

Question:I am 30 and I teach art. I've worked as a video games artist, as a trainee. I feel like I'm on the wrong career path. I love experimenting in Photoshop but have never used Quark and don't even know what 'artworker' is. I feel like it's too late to start over again. What do I need to do? If I become a junior, how do I do that?

Personally I believe you have the talent to do so, the problem is, it is very hard to break into that field. I graduated with a minor in web design and a major in web site management and e-commerce. I never have been able to break into the field despite many of my professors saying I had more talent that most people in my graduating class. I always ran into the situation where they want 7-8 years experience in the field which being a grad I obviously did not have despite the fact I have been doing it for over 10 years now just not in the work force, or they would offer an unpaid internship which I could not afford to do.

Honestly if you are dead-set on doing it then you will probably have to start with an internship and work your way up. It is a very tough field to break into and stay in, most places do not need a full time graphics person so be careful of that too, make sure once you get a job it's secure.

i think u want to be a print ad graphic designer...
all u hav to do is nothing but learn a software deeply.. say photoshop..
and three more steps..

3)more and more practice...
